A little about us....
Here's everything you need to know about The Disciples Society and our membership tiers.
The Disciples Academy & The Disciples Library
The Disciples Academy and The Disciples Library are online Christian discipleship memberships founded by Christian creator Hilcia Jasmin Hernandez. They are designed to help women grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, apply biblical teaching to their everyday lives, and become the women God is calling them to be. Both memberships are centered on Christian discipleship, biblical teaching, practical application, and spiritual growth, but they provide different experiences.
The Disciples Academy is the complete, interactive discipleship experience. Members participate in live gatherings, workshops, Breakthrough Assignments, accountability, prayer, discussions, and an actively led Christian community.
The Disciples Library is a self-paced discipleship membership. Members receive access to workshop replays, Breakthrough Assignments, and a simple peer-led private community so they can learn and apply biblical teaching on their own schedule.
Both memberships are intended for adults age 18 and older.
The Disciples Academy
What is The Disciples Academy?
The Disciples Academy is an online Christian discipleship membership founded by Hilcia Jasmin Hernandez.
It is designed for women who love Jesus and want more than simply consuming Christian content. The Academy helps women put biblical teaching into practice through live interactive workshops, practical Breakthrough Assignments, accountability, prayer, reflection, discussion, and Christian community.
The goal of The Disciples Academy is not simply to help members learn more about Christianity. It is to help women live out what they are learning, grow spiritually, and become the women God is calling them to be.
The Academy is not a church, therapy program, counseling service, crisis service, or replacement for professional mental health care. It is an online Christian discipleship membership and community.
Who is The Disciples Academy for?
The Disciples Academy is designed for adult women who want to take their relationship with Jesus seriously and intentionally grow in their faith. Members may already read the Bible, attend church, listen to sermons or Christian podcasts, follow Christian creators, pray regularly, or consume Christian teaching. Others may genuinely want those habits but struggle to maintain them consistently. The common denominator is not perfection or how spiritually disciplined someone already is. It is a genuine desire to follow Jesus, grow spiritually, obey God, apply Scripture, and become the woman God is calling her to be.
What age is The Disciples Academy for?
The Disciples Academy is for adults age 18 and older. The content and conversations are created for adult Christian women and may address mature topics related to faith, relationships, purity, sexuality, temptation, personal growth, marriage, purpose, and everyday Christian living. Minors are not eligible to participate.
What problems does The Disciples Academy help with?
The Disciples Academy may be a good fit for Christian women who find themselves thinking things such as:
-
“I know what I should be doing, but I struggle to do it consistently.”
-
“I consume a lot of Christian content, but I want to actually apply what I'm learning.”
-
“I want to become more disciplined in my walk with Jesus.”
-
“I feel like I keep returning to the same spiritual struggles.”
-
“I want Christian women around me who are serious about following Jesus.”
-
“I tend to isolate myself.”
-
“I want accountability in my faith.”
-
“I read the Bible, but sometimes I don't know how to apply it to my actual life.”
-
“I want direction for what I should work on spiritually.”
-
“I want to involve Jesus more in my everyday life.”
-
“I want to become the woman God is calling me to be.”
-
“I don't just want more information about God. I want transformation.”
The Academy was created to bridge the gap between learning biblical principles and actually living them out.
How does The Disciples Academy help women grow spiritually?
The Academy combines biblical teaching with practical application.
Rather than ending a workshop after members have learned something, members are regularly challenged to determine how that biblical principle should change the way they think, behave, pray, make decisions, respond to temptation, serve others, or approach their relationship with Jesus.
Many Academy experiences follow a progression such as:
Biblical teaching → discussion → personal reflection → working session → practical application → Breakthrough Assignment → accountability
This structure is intended to help members move from knowing biblical principles to practicing them.

What are The Disciples Academy workshops?
The Disciples Academy workshops are interactive Christian discipleship gatherings led by Hilcia Hernandez.
Rather than functioning only as lectures, workshops are designed to encourage participation and practical application.
A workshop may include biblical teaching, Scripture study, group discussion, reflection questions, exercises or working sessions, and a practical Breakthrough Assignment.
Topics are chosen around areas of Christian life and spiritual growth that members can actively work on.
What topics does The Disciples Academy teach?
Academy teachings focus on practical Christian discipleship and applying biblical principles to everyday life.
Topics may include:
Spiritual discipline and consistency: building stronger Christian habits, staying disciplined in your walk with Jesus, involving Jesus in everyday life, and putting faith into practice.
Hearing God and discernment: understanding biblical discernment, seeking God's direction, and learning how to approach questions about hearing God's voice without unnecessary confusion.
Purity and self-control: sexual purity, temptation, lust, pornography, masturbation, triggers, boundaries, repentance, self-control, and practical strategies for pursuing purity.
Identity and spiritual growth: identity in Christ, becoming the woman God is calling you to be, developing Christlike character, and growing in the fruit of the Spirit.
Faith and trusting God: responding faithfully during difficult seasons, developing bold faith, trusting God's character, and choosing obedience when circumstances are uncertain.
Relationships and becoming a godly woman: biblical character, serving others, preparing for healthy relationships and marriage, and examining the qualities members want to develop in themselves.
Purpose and Christian living: living faithfully in everyday circumstances, using your gifts, serving others, recognizing opportunities to be faithful, and involving Jesus in ordinary decisions.
Topics may change as new workshops and discipleship experiences are added.
What are Breakthrough Assignments?
Breakthrough Assignments are practical, Bible-based challenges designed to help members apply what they learn.
Instead of simply hearing a teaching and moving on to the next piece of Christian content, members are encouraged to practice a specific principle in their everyday lives.
Breakthrough Assignments are intentionally simple and practical. They may challenge a member to change a habit, practice a spiritual discipline, respond differently to a recurring situation, pray about something consistently, remove a source of temptation, serve someone, reflect on Scripture, or take another concrete step of obedience.
The purpose is application rather than information alone.
Is The Disciples Academy a Bible study?
Bible study is an important part of The Disciples Academy, but the Academy is not simply an online Bible study.
The Academy focuses heavily on discipleship and application. Members study biblical principles and then work on applying those principles to their real lives through discussion, reflection, assignments, accountability, prayer, and community.
Is The Disciples Academy a Christian community?
Yes. Community is an important part of The Disciples Academy.
The Academy is designed for women who want to grow alongside other women who are hungry for Jesus. Members can participate in discussions, prayer, accountability, workshops, check-ins, and other community experiences.
The Academy community is actively led by Hilcia Jasmine Hernandez through live workshops, check-ins, discussions, and other Academy experiences.
Is The Disciples Academy a church?
No. The Disciples Academy is not a church and is not intended to replace participation in a healthy local church.
It is an online Christian discipleship membership that can complement a woman's existing church life and personal relationship with Jesus.
Is The Disciples Academy therapy or counseling?
No. The Disciples Academy is not therapy, professional counseling, medical care, mental health treatment, or crisis intervention.
It provides Christian discipleship, biblical teaching, practical application, accountability, prayer, and community.
Members who need professional mental health care, medical treatment, crisis support, or other professional services should seek an appropriately qualified professional.
Do I need to be a “perfect Christian” to join The Disciples Academy?
No.
The Academy is not reserved for women who have already mastered spiritual discipline or who never struggle.
A woman may already have strong Christian habits, or she may be struggling with consistency. What matters is that she genuinely desires to follow Jesus, grow spiritually, apply biblical teaching, and participate in her own growth.
What makes The Disciples Academy different from simply watching Christian content online?
Christian sermons, podcasts, videos, books, and social media can provide valuable information and encouragement.
The Academy is structured around participation and implementation.
Instead of only asking, “What did I learn?” members are repeatedly encouraged to ask questions such as:
What does this mean for my life? What needs to change? What can I practice this week? What would obedience look like here?
The Academy then provides opportunities for discussion, practical exercises, assignments, check-ins, prayer, and community to support that process.
The Disciples Library

The Disciples Library is an online, self-paced Christian discipleship membership founded by Hilcia Jasmin Hernandez.
It gives members access to a growing collection of Christian workshop replays and practical Breakthrough Assignments so they can learn and grow spiritually on their own schedule.

What is included with The Disciples Library?
The Disciples Library centers around three core features:

Yes.

The Library community is peer-led. Members can connect, discuss workshop teachings and Breakthrough Assignments, encourage one another, and build relationships with other members.
The Library community is not facilitated or moderated by Hilcia Hernandez. It is intentionally different from the actively led community experience inside The Disciples Academy.
What is the difference between the Library community and the Academy community?
The Disciples Library community is a simple, peer-led community designed to complement the self-paced Library experience. Members can connect with one another, discuss workshops and Breakthrough Assignments, ask fellow members for help, and build community as they work through Library content.
The Disciples Academy community is the home base for the complete Academy experience. Academy members have access to additional community spaces, live workshop information, Breakthrough Assignment check-ins, prayer and accountability experiences, Academy events, and other resources connected to their membership.
The Library community is peer-led and is not facilitated or moderated by Hilcia. The Academy community, on the other hand, is actively led by Hilcia through live workshops, check-ins, discussions, and other Academy experiences.
The Disciples Academy vs. The Disciples Library
What is the difference between The Disciples Academy and The Disciples Library?
Both memberships are designed to help women grow spiritually and apply biblical teaching, but they are built for different ways of participating.
The Disciples Library is the self-paced experience. Members learn through workshop replays, complete Breakthrough Assignments, and can connect with peers in a simple private community.
The Disciples Academy is the complete participatory experience. Members receive the benefits of Christian teaching and practical application while also participating in live workshops, check-ins, prayer, accountability, discussions, and a more robust community actively led by Hilcia.
A simple way to understand the difference is:
The Disciples Library: Learn from the Academy.
The Disciples Academy: Participate in the Academy.
Should I join The Disciples Library or The Disciples Academy?
The Disciples Library may be the better fit for someone who wants to learn independently, watch teachings on her own schedule, complete practical assignments, and have optional peer connection.
The Disciples Academy may be the better fit for someone who wants a more interactive discipleship experience that includes live participation, structured accountability, prayer, check-ins, discussions, and an actively led Christian community.
Neither requires a woman to already have her spiritual life perfectly together. The primary difference is the level of participation and support she wants.
